Iconostasis of Capitalism by alexander982 Iconostasis of Capitalism by alexander982
This is the analysis of Capitalism, made in a form of religious Iconostasis. It is one of my own artistic work, which i did for myself as the main focal point of my artistic interest and poetics, it is the analysis of the political systems, world history and leaders, and the resulting consequences of their actions towards their subjects, the people and civilization, which are ultimately bad and evil. The central point for completely understanding my work is the character of the politician, which is an archetype of evil. It is made by watercolors, ink and acrylic on paper, 66x84 cm (drawing itself, the paper is somewhat larger). It is glued to a cardboard, framed and put behind protective glass.

I still believe that if we are to believe that capitalism is naturally evil, than we must say the same of are humans, which is obviously wrong.
But your piece (brilliant work, damn) still portrays the nasty truth. Capitalism has become bloated with corruption and decay with its inefficiencies for the modern world. It worked in the past, but now it does not, but it will not move aside, and many will suffer before it does too.

This is crony capitalism, not free-market economy.

Reminds me the style of Todd Schorr. You have done a good job organising chaos.

Thanks for comments. For those that are wondering how much time it took for this piece to be made, it took about 2 months of constant 5-7 days per week, 8-12h per day, to complete this piece, without calculating the time i put into thinking of it and planning it. I did it when i was on the fifth year of my faculty, and i have made three of them in approximately 6 months, plus/minus month or two of planning them (sketches, reading, discussing etc.)
